In 2025, we welcome Netball to the South Melbourne Districts Sports Club (SMDSC)

If you would like to be part of our up-and-coming club, please find below information on our playing competition at Parkville and NetSetGo at The Pits, both on Saturday mornings.

PARKVILLE COMPETITION

The Parkville competition, played at the State Netball Centre has two seasons;
Autumn (February-June) and Spring (July-December).

Parkville offer the following age groups with a minimum age in each:

  • U11 = 9 years

  • U13 = 11 years

  • U15 = 12 years

  • U17 = 15 years

  • Open = 15 years

We currently have two teams playing at Parkville this season with game times being 8:25am and 9:15am.

Note: Other age group playing times may vary from above.

NET-SET-GO

Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre (APISC) offer the Woolworths NetSetGo program each Saturday morning 11:00am to 12:00pm in Term 2 from 26th April 2025 to 21st June 2025.

We work closely to support and guide up-and-coming players transitioning from the NetSetGo program into competition.

APISC is located at The Pits building on Aughtie Drive, Albert Park.

Net: ages 5-6 and where it all begins, ‘Net’ put the fun in fundamental motor skills through activities and games.
Set: ages 7-8 with ‘Set’ focus on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified match play.
Go: ages 9-10 to develop specific skills through modified match play that has kids ready for the real thing. ‘Go’ level have the opportunity to register at Parkville and play competition on a Saturday morning.
