Season 2021 Club Sponsor
We’ve partnered with the South Metro Junior Football League and Tackle Your feelings to deliver a mental health training session.
The training session will be delivered by a psychologist from Tackle Your Feelings and facilitated by Luke Ewart and Peta Searle from the South Metro Junior Footy League.
This training session is open to coaches, team managers and trainers, and is part of a program that assists participants to learn and develop an awareness of mental health and provides participants with the tools to recognise the signs/shifts in emotions/well-being.
Held via zoom, this will be a recorded event. Registrations are essential and numbers are limited.
About the program
Tackle Your Feelings is a mental health training program designed for community footy clubs.
The program was developed in association with the AFL Coaches Association and is delivered in a way that directly correlates with footy through the use of easy-to-understand analogies.
Although the program was designed for coaches, it’s also beneficial to anyone who has regular interactions with players, such as team managers and trainers.
Following the session, participants are able to complete further online training modules.
