Policies

Our policies outline how we manage various issues relating to junior footy and are there to communicate our values and our expectations of members, officials, volunteers, stakeholders and the public relating to acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in and around South Melbourne Districts.

Our policies are intended to be clear and consistent, and are reviewed at regular intervals to ensure that they’re current and reflect any changes – so please feel free to communicate any feedback to us to consider during those reviews.

  1. Communications policy

The communications policy specifies what our key communications platforms are, how we will manage those communications platforms and how we expect members (players and parents), officials (coaches and team managers), stakeholders (sponsors) and the public to conduct themselves when using those communications platforms.

  2. refund policy

The refund policy aims to provide clarity about how refunds are assessed and processed, and to achieve a mutually amicable outcome for registrants and junior footy.

  3. issue resolution policy

The issues resolution policy aims to address and attempt to resolve any issue raised by a member (players and parents) relating to participation (players, squads, teams, footy) or any other issue of a general nature in a timely, consistent and equitable way.

  4. TEAM SELECTION policy

The purpose of the team selection policy is to provide guidance on how players are selected into teams.

South Melbourne Districts is vigilant in enforcing breaches of the policies and harsh consequences apply for failure to abide by the policies, including counselling, warnings and, in the case of serious or repeated breaches, suspension or expulsion from the club.
