Match Day Visitors

Welcome to the home grounds and clubrooms of South Melbourne Districts!

We operate from the Clarke Shields Pavilion and play matches on the following ovals within Albert Park Reserve:

Arriving

If you take the #96 light rail, get off at stop #131 (Fraser Street).

If you arrive by car, there is paid parking within Albert Park Reserve or free parking on Canterbury Road.

Parking

Buy a ticket from one of the pay-and-display ticket machines within Albert Park Reserve and display the ticket prominently on the dashboard on each visit.

For this reason, we appoint a grounds crew to ensure all is in order by first bounce at 8:00am each Sunday and throughout the day.

This involves anything and everything - from picking up the bread and sausages for the BBQ in the early hours of Sunday morning to packing away the goal post pads and locking up the clubhouse late on Sunday afternoon. It’s a long day!

In season 2023, we are thrilled that our match day coordinator is Ryan McKenzie - an ex player at the Bloods and part of a local family with strong ties to the Club.

Whether your a player, parent, caregiver, official or spectator, if you have any questions or queries throughout the match day, please look for Ryan in the hot pink vest and he should be able to help or point you in the right direction. If you see them around, please be sure to wave and say “Hi”.
