Honorary Bookkeeper Required (re Advertised Jan 2012)
After some 12 years in the job, Maureen McGee, our long serving Treasurer and Life Member, is looking to hand over the reigns to another wonderful South Melbourne Districts person.
Presently, the Treasurer manages the financial affairs of the following departments:
- South Melbourne Districts Committee of Management
- South Melbourne Districts Amatuer Football Club
- South Melbourne Districts Junior Football Club
- South Melbourne Districts Junior Cricket Club
Auskick, Milo Cricket, Senior Athletics and Junior Athletics all take care of their own finances and report their results in time for the club’s November AGM each year with the financial year ending on 30th September each year. The club uses QUICKBOOKS but can just as easily transfer to MYOB software. We expect the time commitment is approximately 6-8 hours per week.
Duties include
- data entry and payment of goods & services supplier invoices
- preparation of BAS statement and payments to the ATO
- receipting of incoming payments
- preparation of accounts for club’s auditor
- general bookkeeping duties
